See the plays I posted Panther? Shows his versatility. Just one tournament game vs Shockers Ok, but check out these highlights of ZBO, looks like Randle to me, lol During the lockout, where he's not asked to be a big body under the paint www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrW3sk1OYtQand www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRWrtPtg8uASecond one skip to 3:35--- Zach in his younger days could move just like Randle, not exactly the same but you can see the comparisons are not hyped. I'm still seeing two completely different players and nothing that shows Randolph could ever do what Randle does. None of those plays resemble any of the Randle plays cited above. History2b explained it well. Randle embodies the evolution of the game. Take Randolph and give him more guard like abilities and athleticism and you'll have something closer to Randle.

Well I see it differently, as a lot of other people have said Randolph, there is a reason why Scouts say Randle is compared most to Randolph and it's not just to say it to be lazy. Their inside game and feel of the paint is very similar. Like I said we will see what happens, and yes most of the players in this draft have evolved from players 10 years ago. Just like 10 years from now we will all compare players to Randle coming out of College. Just the nature of the game, but the similarities are there, and they are obvious past the left hand IMHO.

Shouldn't always follow with the herd with regards to comparisons. www.nbadraft.net/players/deshawn-stevenson Never will say there aren't similarities, just that they're different players from different eras that play the game differently and have different skill sets.

Randle is not like Zbo. He is very unique tbh. I can see where the Zbo comes in but it is really lazy.

Dude I didn't follow the herd. I heard this kid was good, didn't watch any scouting reports, watched his first game at Kentucky and said he reminds me of Zach Randolph. Watched him in the tournament and my mind had not changed one bit. A young quicker Zach Randolph. Randle will play in the LEAGUE very soon and after his rookie year we will all have a clearer picture of what parts of his game translate to the NBA. I believe those of ZBO will be his strengths. I hope you and others prove me wrong and he becomes basically the next Barkley that can do everything at his larger size and skill set, because that means the Lakers basically scored a Hall of Famer.

No one here is saying he is barkley that would be dumb. Randle is a Hybrid if you will. Of post era and the new era. His footwork I think is already better than zbo and he has handles speed agility.

I will reply to the, "what kind of player is Randle" question in March of next year. By then we should have a good idea.

You'll have a good idea what Randle is all about sooner than that red. But exactly how good he ends up up after years is up to him and how hard he works and of course his health.
Panther mentioned HOF? That isn't out of the question right now for Julius Randle. The kid is going to flat out be hard to handle. Of course I'm hoping he reaches his full potential and stays in LA for 15 years and wins rings.

Somebody at Randles introduction today who also witnessed Magic Johnsons introduction way back said that Randles demeanor reminded him of Magic.

Randle's nothing like Z-Bo.
Zach was a long big body with a soft touch around the rim and excellent footwork.
Randle is a short mediocre athlete who plays bully ball.

I understand Randle's got huge potential but some of you guys are so quick to point out how great he is and he's better than ZBo, ZBo will never do what Randle does on the court, Randle embodies the evolution of the game etc, etc. C'mon the guy has not played a single second of NBA ball. At this rate, by next year you'll be saying he's a HOF and deserves a statue in front of Staples.
