Lakers had 2 full days off and decided to party or something. Pretty pathetic showing tonight. DLo and Lebron have just a normal game and it's a W.

LMAO AD just went flying. No call. Shits just hilarious at this point Probobly should have been a foul but very very clearly a strategy by Sabonis vs AD. Basically play him like it’s football and that said wtf is he doing out there to receive the pass? Why is that play being run on a sidelines out of bounds? Domantas read it and played it according to script.

we're so down bad I'm jealous of them having Mike Brown as their coach I never thought I’d feel that way but do very much. We have putz on the sideline who says all the wrong things and makes no meaningful adjustments. He’s a ste behind the game all the time.

Maybe you guys can come up with a name of a long time assistant that has become a successful head coach. I can't. Was Ham paying his dues or is assistant coach as a ceiling. We know the answer.

Mike Malone and Spoelstra come to mind. Pat Riley was an assistant but not really a longtime one. Ham has been a big swing and miss lol.

Long time assistant? None. Short time? Many. The longer they stay in those ranks the worse it is for them in the end if they want to get to the top seat. I supported the move in good faith that he could do the job but had my reservations. I didn’t like all the talk around the league that he was the top assistant everyone wanted to become a head coach. Based on what exactly? Liking the guy? That was the chatter initiated by media prior to his hire. Jeanie and Rob took the bait. Because there was nothing I ever saw in his game that told me he could beat me in a game of chess, let alone the tops guys actually competing.

From video coordinator on up in a fairly short amount of time.

Lakers had 2 full days off and decided to party or something. Pretty pathetic showing tonight. DLo and Lebron have just a normal game and it's a W. Bron had the worst 3 quarters I've ever seen him play. better in the fourth, but 5 turnovers and I'm pretty sure all of them led to scores, he wasn't boxing out or rotating his guy on the perimeter and giving up open shots on defense. He missed two layups early then didn't drive again until what seemed like the 4th quarter. by then it was too late. AD didn't necessarily get punked on the boards (he did in the 4th though) but damn if it didn't feel like they scored on every single fucking offensive rebound given up. Lakers absolutely stink with physicality. I got nervous early when it seemed like the Lakers were playing slow and with little movement. Lakers needed to come out moving and pushing against a team on the 2nd night of a back to back and wear them out and they didn't come close to doing it

Pat must have trusted him immensely to give him that head job with a contending team and boy did it pay off.

Lakers with Bron are not a team you hire a guy to learn the ropes

Probably someone who reminded him of himself when he was young.

Just seemed like he was well-liked by guys around the league. Alot of rah rah, his staff doesn't seem to be adequate, and rah rahs alone don't make a good coach.

Ty Lue is the big miss. Championship coach and a champ as a Laker player.

He was an assistant for like 20 years straight before that. It's super rare. And the few who do succeed at the highest level are Xs and Os assistants. Not rah rah guys.

Ty Lue is the big miss. Championship coach and a champ as a Laker player. With Lebron too. It was as if they held that against him instead of viewing it as an additional positive.

So after the game Lebron said when he gets over "this little cold" he'll be better he didn't sound sick just hung over. AD also sounded kinda sick (or hung over) in his postgame interview. I think these dudes partied too hard for ADs bday and THEY were the ones who looked like they were on a back to back instead of Sac.
