I am actually really excited about this. They guy can play both forward spots and hit the 3 which is exactly what we need. We did not need another guard.

I’m excited too brother Red but I also can’t help but feel we are just 1 playmaker shy of being better off. I think we are overly reliant on Bron and I’m not sure Rondo can deliver what we need come playoff time. Caruso has been my only real hope in that regard but he still doesn’t seem to be getting the time on the floor to prove it. If we decide to go big all around with say AD Morris Lebron Kuz Caruso It may be lacking the off the dribble shot creation that the game seems to call for today. Similar to how Philly has struggled with their big and tall team.

Still concerned about defense against the Leonard’s, Giannis’ of the NBA.
Might have to develop a defense that doubles these guys all the time.

Giannis concerns me more but obviously if we deal with him it’ll mean we’d made it to the finals. AD is the best player in the NBA suited to defend him and part of the reason why I felt we HAD to trade for him. If he can stay out of foul trouble I think we’re golden. On that note I expect Lebron to turn it up a notch or 3 defensively come playoff time. No wine, no social media, no back to backs... we should the absolute best he has to offer come postseason and that will include doing work on the defensive end.

I don't know how you watch this team and don't see the need for another guard. Or playmaker, but not a lot of wings available with that skillset. LeBron's on/off numbers are like a net +14. It's truly staggering how we're just trying to barely survive when he's off the court.

It's truly staggering how we're just trying to barely survive when he's off the court. Of course LeBron's on/off numbers are super positive, he's one of the best players in the league. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I bet Giannis' +/- is similar. I'm not concerned about adding another playmaker- I think we need more perimeter defense and shooting, which is exactly what Morris brings. It doesn't necessarily have to be another guard (there's none out there that is available that is better than what we currently have). LeBron is also playing a career low in minutes per game, so he is getting the proper rest to stay fresh. We do rely on him probably too much, but most of that is self-induced. He likes to have the ball in his hands and he likes to dribble the ball into oblivion while he decides on his next move, but that is the way he has played most of his career. The more shooters we surround him with, the better off we are. Morris is a good fit in that aspect, and he is another guy that we can throw at Leonard to be physical. Sometimes Green is not physical enough, so it is nice to have Morris to bully him a little bit.

Dude plays 30 mins a night. Talk about a guy who’s going to be fresh for the playoffs. And the Bucks do with with a better offense imo. The ball moves better and they embrace the 3p shot with the best of the them. Bottom line is the media narrative criticizing Magic’s building of the Lakers was very obviously wrong yet no one is admitting it. The Lakers need playmakers.

Bringing cousins back to when his first minutes would be in critical playoff games probably wasn’t realistic anyways. He wouldn’t be in game shape. Maybe they can revisit him in the off-season, provided he doesn’t do the same stupid thing he did to hurt his ACL this off-season too. Always a long shot but worth the gamble if only because his game was different from our other 2 bigs and he has strong bonds with Bron and AD. If he’s not butthurt over being waived, especially after just gushing about this being the first place he’s ever felt like family then I expect him back next summer. Depends on how much he wants next year. Could take the MLE?

Doubt he has suitors again this summer.

The Lakers should use their MLE on Dwight. If they don't, he's gone. DeMarcus can have the minimum if he wants to stay in LA.
