Refs were also putrid tonight imo which stings when you're down 10 with a min left.

Their guards absolutely cooked tonight. Did whatever they wanted. Our guards were mostly missing and AD didn't come to play imo. Lebron had 31 pts and 14ast in 36min tonight. And he limped off the court

I was going to make a game thread prior to the game that was going to stress that Sabonis was going to defend AD the way he defended Jokic; extremely physical. AD even moreso than Jokic does not like physicality and it always throws him off his game.
But now that the game has taken place another trend has emerged; teams are attacking AD early and often in the 1st quarter and getting him in foul trouble as a deliberate strategy in order to remove him from the game. The Lakers fall apart every time they succeed at doing that and by my mental count it’s happens 5 times in the last 7 games. An adjustment needs to be made tonight, immediately in order to win games.
On that same note Stu Lantz pissed me off talking like a delusional old head with no clue how to play basketball in 2024 talking about getting the ball down low to AD in order for him to succeed on offense. He’s dead wrong, AD DOES NOT DO WELL DOWN LOW AGAINST PHYSICAL DEFENDERS. P-E-R-I-O-D.
The way AD can succeed and take our team to another level is play offense like Sabonis. Get the ball up high and survey the floor with your vision, you’re taller than everyone out there on the floor and make plays with your pass NOT your shot. Your shot will ALWAYS be there when you want it but once you become a player that the defense HAS TO sag back a bit because of your ability to pass the shot will present itself more often.
Of course this would take coaching to help him see and become and we simply don’t have a strategizing coach. That moron Ham kept the offense doing what it was failing at over and over all game making no adjustment to the Kings adjustment of hard doubling AD. The entire Laker offense should center around what every does when AD gets double teamed. In simplest terms the triangle offense did exactly that for the post player.

You can call me delusional or whatever. 10 point game. Austin Reaves should have had 7 free throw in the second quarter alone that he didn’t get any calls. One of them the kings challenged and they doubled down and gave them the ball. The overturn on the Hayes dunk is the most ridiculous bullshit and complete misapplication of the rules that I have ever seen. Not to mention that 7 foot fuck falling down in the paint in the 2nd quarter and them not calling offensive 3 seconds. AD might’ve been soft but they were playing through his arms and body all game and hacking him. They fouled so much because the refs let them foul that much, especially Sabonis. Took advantage of weak refs. Lakers should have attempted 50 free throws in this game.
