Everytime AD looks hurt, I take a deep breath. The whole fan base does After the game he said he was fine and that it happened when Larry Nance Jr shoved him in the back while he was in the air getting a put back bucket. I don't see a good scenario. i can easily see the Kings wiping GS. Lakers matchup horribly vs them. Win and it's Denver and we all know how that has been going. the 8 seed is infinitely more appealing than the 7 though but we can't just give this Pelicans game away expecting to win the next. Golden State will take ‘em I expect GS to take them out as well especially if Monk and Huerter are out still (not sure if they are or aren't). It is being played in Sacramento tho so the Queens at least have that going for them.

Win and Lakers get 8th seed with a chance to earn the 7th seed in their play-in game. Lose and almost assuredly the 10th seed unless the Kings/Warriors lose to the Blazers/Jazz. So is the 8th seed locked in with a chance at 7th?

They for sure won’t have either. Huerter is out for season and Monk was 4-6 weeks a week and half ago.
They can win without Huerter not without Monk. Malik is way too important of a playmaker / scorer.
Not sure if Sabonis is still banged up but Draymond has the game to neutralize him.

So is the 8th seed locked in with a chance at 7th? No. We are playing a Play In Tournament game for the 7th seed vs New Orleans. Win and we are the 7th seed. Lose and we wait for the winner of Sacramento/ Golden State to then play for the 8 seed.

Annoying part about this season is that there are about 10 teams in the west that I'd say are better than every team in the east besides Boston. only other team I'd consider is better than even the Warriors is Philly with Embiid but he missed half the season

But agreed we are fucked by the most competitive conference in the history of pro basketball by far.

Spurs would probably be in the playoffs if they had an East schedule.

Shout out to Austin Reaves for playing all 83 reg season games (including In Season tourney championship game) this season after a deep playoff run and international basketball in the offseason.
Also AD for playing a career high 76 games.
And Lebron for playing 70+ at 39 years of age.
