Nuggets favored -7.5 points as of now. Last game was much closer heading in. Basically betting money says Nuggets showed they know how to beat us without too much challenge.

Hachimura shot the ball well, hit a 3 and a jumper (50% shooting) but only had 4 shots. He seemed kinda lost in whatever gameplan they had. Some of that is likely due to Denvers gameplan but you need counters.
DLo took 20 shots and 5 or 6 of those were very dumb. Probably 15 of them were good shots but he bricked most of them. He did stick around after the game and got a bunch of practice 3s up after the crowd left so can only hope that helps him in Game 2 tonight.

Having him out there as a token dunker to watch others iso is a net negative given his lack of defensive prowess. Unlocking Rui is part of the key to having a chance.

Will D Lo and Hachi step up this time? If DLo shits the bed again it’ll be trouble. He doesn’t necessarily need to go beast mode, although it would be welcomed, but just a respectable playoff output. Hit some 3s and break through their defense. I may just be an outside observer but Denver’s defense doesn’t look all that tough to me. You’ve got slow footed guys all over that floor. There are spaces that can and should be attacked mercilessly. But god damn stop with the isos for AD in the middle. The ball should move to him when the ball moving moves the defenders. It would open up lanes for everyone and when you receive the passes you make fast af decisions with that ball. Holding the ball is what destroys a teams offensive synergy. This why Carmelo didn’t work here, it’s why Russell didn’t work here. Stop with that bullshit.

Do they not see the poor results from iso ball? I have been preaching play as fast as possible. The quicker you push the pace the easier the shots. Alot of the 3s that came in half court offense were really deep 3s leading to the poor percentage in game 1. I agree with you that Denver's defense should not strike fear in the Lakers. One thing that concerns me is alot of the Lakers and Ham are saying the Lakers have to be perfect to beat Denver. May be true, but not a good mind set.

One thing that concerns me is alot of the Lakers and Ham are saying the Lakers have to be perfect to beat Denver. May be true, but not a good mind set. Denver’s offense is formidable, one of the better all time offenses I’ve seen in some respects. That’s why you do have to play a near perfect game to beat them imo. I get what you mean though about thinking you have to be perfect to beat someone. I blame that on Ham. That mouth speak is tainted and sourced from a man who doesn’t know how to strategically beat a team besides playing “perfect.” But their offense relies on their defensive stops and getting out in transition; specifically Jokic. Take all the all time great big men you can ever come up with, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Hakeem, Tim… which one of them could rebound then push the ball down court lead a fast break and pass like Magic/ Lebron? Not one time but every time? His skill is changing the game so you have to attack that part. The reason AD can’t afford to not be on his feet ever against Nikola is that Nikola is the one, like Magic before him long ago, who could do things guys that size shouldn’t be able to do. So no matter how good your man on man defense is, it’s only as good as your overall ability to stay balanced and ready to attack the dribble in transition imo. He gets rid of the ball when that happens and if all your other horses are in place it should stop their easy transition game.

I like Reaves in that action with Davis. Jokic sagging way off

Those quick 3s by Lebron are head scratchers. Especially after jamming a finger on his shooting hand 10 seconds earlier. Run a fkn set

Jokic hitting 3s in ADs face is his way of making a statement to AD, make no mistake about it.
Lebron took an ill advised 3 in response to that first one. Haymaker for haymaker.
