His rest is only most of one season, and he has a bad knee injury in his past. Remains to be seen how many teams will be willing to take on Adrian (or Ray) given the stigma attached to them now. They certainly are unlikely to get paid like they think they should. It will be interesting to see if they are more interested in getting to teams with the best fit and ability to win, or if they go for the most money.

Dallas really wants Peterson and he had his best year after that knee injury It just makes no sense. Dallas is having their best year in recent memory by emphasizing DeMarco Murray. 3 years younger and in his prime. When Jerry Jones is involved though, anything stupid is possible.

They don't have the money for Dez and Murray and the belief is they'll choose Dez.

They almost have to choose Dez, but they can find a way to afford both. Cowboys are currently at $122M, with the 2015 projected cap at $140M. The time may have come to move on from Jason Witten (due $8.5M next season). Also, Romo is due $27M next season, so a restructure is probably in the cards.

Popular belief is most of it had to do with that amazing offensive line. Could probably get same production for less money Likely franchise tagging Dez Over the cap has the cowboys currently at 138M for next season and cutting Witten only saves 3M Not sure where you get 122M

Brandon Carr is probably definitely getting cut, that'll give them some room.
