Clearly on the field he has the production. He has the stats and accolades but is his scandal enough to keep him out?
He's basically missed 2 prime years of his career and we have seen deserving guys with scandals be kept out of the HOF before. Will he get the votes?
Does this help other RBs from same era get more votes?
What current RBs would get your vote?

Rice's wife decided. No one cared though... Beat me.... Pay me? Beat her.... (they said) Pay us/me, too? -- How about AP's Son? .... the son's Mother can't wait to cash Them Checks, again..... Beat him... Well... When will they re-instate you, AP? The Child..... ? TBD... maybe, dictating Certain One's future??? --- If everybody is getting paid.....

AP been getting paid. Getting 6 game suspension now That Child's Mother isn't about, just the here and now.... she thinking about the money in the future, too. One of her first responses publicly; was the time of when AP, was going to get re-instated. Hopefully, she is paying for her public response. The Child is too; but is/was the situation really any different, for him..... the Mom is about That Money. If AP doesn't play another down; watch the Mom change tune, very quickly.

He wasn't going to play much longer anyway. Very few RBs are viable into their 30s. Adrian will be 30 before next season starts.
Remember, the Mom never reported the beating either; it was the doctor that did so. I bet both she and Adrian still think this was a standard punishment that maybe got a little out of control.

Would still be a top tier RB

Father time is undefeated. True, but he's AD and at 30 years young/old, not falling off the cliff just yet. He's got a few real productive years left especially in the right situation. Get him off the Vikings and onto a better team and he would still look great imo. Wonder where he ends up next...

What other Adrian Petersons can you point to? Only one of those
I think with a player like Adrian, that age barrier gets pushed back a couple years before you get to the point where he's over the hill so much that he can't "excel" on a team.

He has a short window remaining at best IMO. This year gets pushed to next, plus maybe one more to "excel".

Yeah I'd agree. I wonder who gets him. Colts, Cowboys, Bucs? If he finds his way to a good situation, I could see him have a couple nice seasons before he's done

Colts could make sense, but I could see them wanting someone better at receiving out of the backfield. Giants could make some sense as well.

And the Vikings haven't released Peterson as of yet?
Falcons need a RB. Lol Ray Rice maybe?
