Clarkson bonehead pass to Randle to end the 1st quarter but saw some good things. Nance came out and played like a starter. Team defense has signs of life.

Caruso > Ennis on both ends I agree, the ball moves much better. he should be first off the bench when Lonzo comes back Ennis reminds me of Farmar with no 3pt threat .

Kuz is really tough to guard. Really good at drawing fouls... and man, does he have a QUICK first step.

Randle has definitely put in some work in the offseason.
Regardless of his motivations... I like what I see (at times).

Two things I took from this game: Caruso should be our second string PG, not Ennis. The ball moves better and he creates turnovers on the defensive end when Caruso is in. Secondly, the Lakers play better when Nance is in the game vs. Randle. Randle needs to come off the bench. His lack of defense and lack of boxing out kills us on the defensive end. I like the way he attacks the rim offensively, but he can also be out of control at times. He is better off trying to attack second units.
Ingram might as well come off the bench as well. The reason why I say that is because Kuzma is obviously a better player right now and needs to be starting. My preferred lineup to start games:
PG Ball SG KCP SF Kuzma PF Nance C Lopez
During the suspension (first two games) I guess I would be OK with Ingram starting at the 2, but if we play teams with quick guards we could be in trouble defensively.

First two games are vs the Clippers and the Suns. Clippers guards are Patrick Beverly, Jawun Evans, Austin Rivers, Milos Teodosic, Sindarius Thornwell, Tyrone Wallace, C.J. Williams, and Lou Williams. Suns guards are Eric Bledsoe, Devin Booker, Troy Daniels, Mike James, Brandon Knight, Elijah Millsap, Davon Reed, and Tyler Ulis Sources: www.nba.com/clippers/rosterwww.nba.com/suns/rosterGM survey on Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns: www.nba.com/suns/blog/gm-survey-booker-top-three-pure-shooter-nbaI did not know about the KCP suspension until this morning when I read it on the Bleacher Report. Anyways, this is a good topic. I would go with: PG Ball SG Clarkson SF Ingram PF Randle C Lopez

I just watched the 1st half of the game. Mark Jackson from ESPN was the announcer. He was pretty good.
For the Lakers, the only player I liked was KCP because he seems like the only guy who puts a body on an opposing cutter in the lane, and the Lakers seem most vulnerable on D in the lane. It just seems that a player like James Harden or Russell Westbrook could get career highs against the Lakers this year. The other Lakers aside from KCP only like to block shots and take away the baseline, except for Ennis who doesn't seem to care.
On offense, I was not as high on Nance as everyone here. In the half court in the paint, I thought Nance and Lopez were both soft on offense. And again, I hated Ennis on offense. BI was out of control and maybe has not heard the name Rudy Gobert? He should know by now.
Why did I want Ennis on the team in the first place? Because he showed promise with his 3-point shot and I thought his shooting would be better than somebody like Rajon Rondo. I was not as high on Rondo as the Lakers were this past summer. But this was a sh*t show for Ennis in the first half.
