Scouts say he doesn't do a thing, especially in regards to preparation

Jason Kidd considered worst Coach in League? Would you take D'antoni over Jason Kidd?

D'Antoni is horrible, but he knows a little about coaching and has had some past success. He can't win titles, but he can be average on another team.
All reports sound like Jason Kidd has his assistants call everything and has only run 15 plays all year. Might be a joke, but D'Antoni put in his offensive philosophy.
Neither are effective, but the reports about Kidd as worst in the league mainly speak to his lack of preparation or making any adjustments

I was really surprised that he got a head coaching gig immediately after retiring. Not exactly who you would want to take a whole new mix of players (and a lot of guys that need the ball) and make it work.

Too much pressure for a 1st year coach to manage a team of that caliber.

Too much pressure for a 1st year coach to manage a team of that caliber. That is a lot of egos to deal with. Not dissimilar from last year's Lakers, other than the fading old guy is Garnett instead of Nash. Nets are deeper too.

The same can be said about Mark Jackson, taking on that job without any experience either. Granted, that team doesn't have the egos that the Nets do.

Mark Jackson had years in between where he was far more familiar with the league, won the job through interview, and was hungry and hard working Kidd was handed a job and doesn't know how to prep

Granted, that team doesn't have the egos that the Nets do. He was in the booth after retirement so he didn't rush from the playing floor to the sideline to coach. He proved his chops on national tv with the intelligent things he said (sometimes) and coaches have to communicate. He proved he could

Basically fires the guy who Kidd sold to the nets as the guy to hire to help out kidd and his zero experience.

Looks like he is doing okay now. He fired an assistant who was undermining him and benched his star pg who probably was also undermining him and abracadabra the Nets are finding success

I doubt that. If it were that simple we would be a better team

Well, is Kidd still the worst coach?? They just completed a season sweep of Miami, and did you see the standings?? What the heck is their record since the all-star break?? All of a sudden they're well above .500 and could conceiveably finish in the #3 spot right behind Miami and Indiana!! I love the addition of Marcus Thornton!
