Dodgers traded Busch to the Cubs in a minor league prospect swap. Seems odd, as they only netted two lower level prospects.

I would have rather done the Hader deal than Glasnow. I wonder if they had known sooner that Yamamoto would sign if they woukd have held off on Glasnow deal.
They are right near the Cohen tax threshold so I dont foresee another substantial signing.insert code here

He started well last year (Red Sox), but struggled late with knee inflammation (and has a checkered injury history).

I guess in the case of Hader, they were reluctant to give 5 years to a reliever, esp one who says he only wants to close games.

Friedman is never giving more than about 2 years to a reliever ever again unless it is a special, special case

They're considering trading for Kenley.

They're considering trading for Kenley. I don't think that has legs unless the other team (is it Red Sox?) will pay some of his salary. Or maybe they are thinking of moving CT's contract for Kenley? Also I don't see where he fits in anymore - would you trust him in the playoffs? I would not.

I've heard it mentioned and that Boston was shopping him, but nothing really concrete about the Dodgers being intrested. But would I trust him in the playoffs? yeah I would. His playoff Track record speaks for itself

Thank God Roberts made the adjustment that year.

WS game 2 was one swing against a team known for cheating that whole season, and that Tampa WS game 4 was a clusterfuck of soft contact and bad defense.

The Astros' cheating scheme was at their home field where they had the cameras set up. Kenley's blown save in game 2 was at Dodger Stadium. They win that game they probably close it out in 6. I was a big Kenley homer back in the day. I agree on a cumulative basis his playoff numbers are pretty good, but he does not have the same stuff any more. Also he expects to be a closer, and I think the Dodgers prefer a more flexible bullpen, esp in the playoffs.
