I’ve seen this increasingly apart of the game for a while now but so much so now, it is without question, the way to win in the game today, that pace is the single most important element of offense. It is a track meet. There is no room to be walking up or down the floor. Ever. Every play, every player, as soon as the possession switches boom > race the other way. Beat your opponent even by just a step and it leads to possessions in transition, something all teams have wanted to an extent historically but has now shifted to as many possessions as possible, preferably all in an ideal world.

That said if you aren’t conditioned to play this way get your ass in shape.

And Lebron James can shoot as many 3s as he likes. Don’t care when or where. He’s worked hard to become elite.
We need as many of these we can get every game.

I really don’t understand how Cam Reddish struggles diving to the basket. He’s an outstanding athlete, he has solid handle, supposed to be having an array of tools in his bag scoring at the rim and yet he’s ooc or weak on the finish more often than not. With Phil Handy he should be working on this.

Agree, 100%. They need to play fast. The offense becomes stand around iso when the walk it up the court. Play fast and they can get more open looks in early offense.

I like the rejuvenated play from Christian Wood. He’s playing better and giving a much needed boost scoring in his minutes given

Agree, 100%. They need to play fast. The offense becomes stand around iso when the walk it up the court. Play fast and they can get more open looks in early offense. Exactly. Obviously we can see that for our team but it’s also true of all teams. That matters because it’s not a matter of yesteryear when only the Suns wanted to and the best teams wanted to stop them by slowing down to a grind. Today slowing it down to a grind IS the way to lose. So, if you know everyone is competing to this end, the game within the game becomes who has the beat “horses” for the game. A well conditioned collection of long athletic players will beat a team that tows athletic bums.

You see all those athletic play layups we just missed at the rim? 2 by Lebron (on 4 Grizzlies) and then Reaves… that is another new key ability of all players to have. Vando, Cam and Rui could all stand improve doing so. They’ll score more and play more if they did.

Playing fast starts with a team identity that starts with the coach. Rambis's job was to get the ball out the net before it hit the floor when the other team scored as the Lakers were going to fast break even on made baskets. This team only runs when the opportunity presents itself. That needs to change.

Hand in face is too late. Smart has not been ran off the 3 once tonight. Once guys get in the motion a hand does nothing. The scouting report is clear.... Lakers don't defend the 3, so let it fly. As a player you will shoot with confidence. The details on defense and offense suck. Ham is not a championship coach.

I don't see how Ham survives this but I've also been saying that for like a week
