Bucks are 30-13 second in the East and they still fired Adrian Griffin. I have to imagine there is something deeper under the surface we don’t know about cause it’s not like they were .500 floundering around the play in tournament.
Still, shows the balls that Milwaukee brass have and how much more “loyalty” drives the decision making in rotting Lakerland.

Hope the Bucks hire Doc Rivers. Not saying the Lakers will move on from Ham, but the good news Doc will not step in if they do.

Given that the team isn’t coming off a bad losing streak or such, I have to believe that either Giannis or Dame wasn’t vibing with Griffin.

they are apparently hiring Doc Rivers. Glad we won't be stuck with him but I thought Milwaukee is perhaps the best chance of stopping the Celtics, at least in the east. so not too sure how to feel

Funny thing is, the real issue with the Bucks IMO is the defense they lost trading Holiday for Dame. They would most likely have to move Portis if they want to add a wing defender, opening a different hole in the rotation.

I had to laugh my ass off when they hired Doc. If winning a championship is a concern, perhaps getting a coach that doesn't blow 3-1 leads would be a priority.

Doc isn't going to make up for the defense they gave away in the Dame trade. Lots of desperate trade rumors coming out of Milwaukee.

Dame didn’t play but the spacing and ball movement was classic 2010’s style Doc basketball. Similar to what Philly was doing last few years. Griffin may not have been the long term guy but they were better off riding him out for the season vs firing him.

He’s a terrible coach in the modern era, another man stuck in the past with no vision for the future. Sad to see Milwaukee with such a good core team go down in flames. Griffin was doing just fine.

Bucks scoring is down 13 points per game under Doc. Crazy that old school coaches don't open their eyes to the current style of play. The Bucks have zero defense with their starting guards Dame and Beasley. They are not going to shut teams down. They need to score and play fast. The Lakers going in the opposite direction by playing fast/the right way. Each team's recent records supports the high pace style. Let's hope Hamm sticks playing fast with ball movement. He keeps saying he wants pace. Don't jack it up by walking the ball up the court.

Once they traded Jrue Holiday for Dame Lillard, playing grind out defensive style to uptempo, score in bunches mode. Should have been obvious to whomever is guiding that ship, but their problem not ours. Which is why I was taken aback by the firing of Griffin. He had them playing pretty darn well in my view, given the circumstances. 31-13 was no slouch of a record considering. But to go from that to Doc Rivers? Lol 😂

Bucks are near .500 team since firing Griffin, dropping 2 games back to back to 2 of the worst teams in the league, Wizards and Grizzlies.
30-13
Now 47-29
That’s 17-16 since the firing. I’ve noticed that Giannis has faded this season, no longer the monster he’d been the previous 5 seasons or so.
They’re in trouble and imo likely to go down in flames early in the playoffs.
