A winning lineup to win games and not go down early every damn game.
Rui Hachimura has been freed from his chains to the bench and we’ve won every game since he started starting except 1. We’re 6-0 with him and AR and DLo starting. This is not an accident, although some of the competition has been subpar. Rui specifically was someone who has been overlooked in favor of Prince, Reddish and Vando. Vando is the only one who warranted the slight. Between them both we’re rock solid at the position.
I didn’t think Ham would ever let go of his Prince obsession but now that he has it has done wonders for the teams balance and offense. Taurean is not a playmaker or natural scorer. He’s a ready shooter but that isn’t what we needed to go up against other teams best players. He is perfectly respectable as a backup and has played well in that role.
The offense is now generating assists like never before, the players are moving and the ball is moving. Just in the Knick of time again for Ham just like last season.
Spencer Dinwiddie is still finding his way but I already see great things coming out of his play; elite ball handling, sees the floor well, passes well, can create his own shot… we really scored big adding a player like him for basically nothing.
The schedule is going to get really rough after the break but I’m feeling better right now about this team than I have all season.
And shoutout AD for being an all around complete player now. He is play excellent basketball overall with great energy and grit and now with a new found vision to see the floor. I’ve always known he was capable if instructed properly. He is playing A+

that was a pretty solid win considering the 2nd night of a back to back and all and missing about 5 rotation guys. Lakers might finally be hitting their stride, which makes me think the all star break is both coming at a good time because of the injuries, but a bad time because of how we are playing. would be nice if the teams we need to lose would start losing though. Nuggets just took an L to a Kings team on the 2nd night of a back to back

Home court isn’t what was before at all. What you want is to be playing your beat collective ball come April / May. Blow your wad too soon in the regular season and you get what Memphis and Milwaukee got last year. Clippers could be that team this year. Boston is always in the running for that distinction too. If we can get the 6th seed, I’m good.

But when the Clippers got Harden my first thought was that they'll be a really good regular season team that will get exposed come playoff time.

If we’re playing good ball to end the season I say bring on those bitches in Denver too. Limp into the playoffs and it’s a slaughter but if we’re in sync, we can take ‘em. Congrats on the Super Bowl to my brother. Mahomes is pretty amazing.

We've seen this same movie play out every season over the past 12 seasons. They fool all the pundits every year, but the Sterling magic is always right on time and it will be no different this season. Don't pay no attention to that phony with they had last night either. Just wait and be patient.....LOL.

Idk the Clippers do seem different this season from seasons past.
First off the 2 main guns seem much more healthy than they’ve ever been together. Second Ty Lue is proving himself to be in the top 3 as a coach for his offensive schemes alone. And third they have a solid support cast. They’re thin at the 4 and could use a big long versatile 4/5 type but I imagine that’s what they’ll target in the summer.
But James Harden has been a revelation for them. Everyone was skeptical but Ty Lue, genius that he is has found the right balance. Come playoff time they will have to prove they can hit 3s or else they’re doomed. That Coffey kid is an unexpected development for them who looks like he’s going to carve out a key role.
I don’t think they will win it all but I do think they’re a team a lot of other teams wouldn’t want to face.

Rui points out the obvious to Darvin Ham:
"I've been telling 'em, like, this is who we are," Hachimura said. "We've been trying like a lot of different things, lineups, all this stuff. But this is the lineup we had in the playoffs, and that's how we won. So, you know, it's that simple."

If it was in the conf finals that would be OK but facing them earlier would be annoying.

Did it really take Rui to tell him this? Really? Does it take months to see things that even a decent knowledgeable basketball fan figured out in a fraction of the time? Naw....I don't care how far this team goes, there are just things elite coaches know out the gate. Ham has proven he is NOT one of those. He's not a bad guy, he's just not THAT coach I believe. I still don't trust his ability to make in game adjustments in big games as well.

But I'll tell you what fellas, this thread will be one of several threads that will be bookmarked. And I'm going to tirelessly bump it after the Flippers get eliminated in the playoffs AGAIN.

But what made it more annoying was that I didn’t see Rui’s comment until this morning but I saw Darvins post game interview last night where he was asked specifically about Rui and he said something along the lines of “We’ve challenged him to play better and he’s delivered.” Which I found to be offensive. He’s a bonehead but someone on the staff got to him on to change his lineup. Injuries forced his hand and were fortunate that it happened otherwise he’d still be tinkering with a dead offense lineups.

Rui was one of the best pick-ups we've made in a while. The way Ham's staff has treated him by burying him on the bench is criminal. It's one of the reasons why I can't stand Ham as a coach. Burying guys on the bench who need playing time and who could have helped this team win games a long time ago. Rui is going to be incredibly important in the playoffs. If my memory serves me correct, I remember talk on here last season when we were playing Memphis in the first round of the playoffs when I believe somebody on the staff had to get to Ham to get him to stop giving Malik Beasley so many minutes. Once he did that, we smoked those mofos the rest of the way and it wasn't even competitive from that point forward.

If Darvin is gone after this season, assuming we don't win or get to the Finals which seems probable, the question is who wis out there that can be better?
I'm assuming Ty Lue isn't going anywhere, and I don't want an old school coach that has been retread over and over again.
This is not me advocating for Ham. He's been deer caught in the headlights since he was announced as a coach (makes you wonder who vets these decisions). He's not a next step kinda coach and there is almost zero time with this roster.
Genuinely curious what we could do to improve this situation.

Fail to make the playoffs or lose in the play in tournament sans injury to Lebron or AD = yes Lose in the first round = maybe Advance beyond first round = no
