This season. No surprise on Vincent who is a bum we wasted a whole season gambling on. Wood isn’t the big we needed anyway. But Vando will severely hurt.
The report did say Vando is the only one as a possible return before season’s end.
I don’t like that this gives Jeanie and Rob bs injury excuse yet again.

I don't trust CBS sports reporters at all. Wood is definitely out for remainder of reg season but all reports from Lakers indicate Vincent and Vando are on the path to return soon.
Stein refutes the CBS reporter tweet with this:

I literally just read this same report from a different source that all 3 would likely not be available the rest of the season.
2b, I said the EXACT same thing to myself--that if this turns out to be true, this will be just another reason for Jeannie to keep Ham around.
Honestly, I'm not feeling good about this team right now anyway even if these players were available.
Just been a depressing season and it feels like it will just be more of the same next season, unless there's a better coach they can find. Old man Lebron on one leg and another year older AD with a whole bunch of shuffled in and out role players to only end up being mediocre when it's all said and done.

There is no other source for this report. It all comes from the CBS reporter Bill Reiter and his source(s). Anywhere you read it is just piggybacking off his tweet. Vincent is "nearing his return" and Vando is probably a little further behind him. Ideally he would return with some games left before playoffs to get his legs fully under him. Vando is the one that matters most tbh. Missing a feisty dawg.

Ham is 99% getting canned after Lakers season is over. His only chance at staying on is MAYBE if Lakers somehow got to the NBA Finals.

I thought about that too before posting; only 1 source reporting this and not being picked up by ESPN/ Athletic etc. I believe that Wood is done, don’t need him anyway. Vincent they were claiming was nearing return about a week and half now. If he doesn’t play by next week I’m assuming his setback was real. Vando’s the only 1 I want back. We have no shot at winning 2 play in games without him let alone a series. Also that being said I just watched Minnesota with no Gobert, no Towns no Naz Reid play Denver with 3 small forwards for most of the game and entirely down the stretch and darn near beat white hot Denver. Their defensive schemes and switching is top notch, something Ham could learn a lot from.

The part that pisses me off about this season is that 1) we FINALLY got that healthy AD season that we had all been clamoring for since 2020. 3 bunk seasons that got derailed by his injuries and now he’s available and it’s botched on the sidelines. 2) we got yet another unparalleled showing from the oldest player in the league and longest lasting superstar in sports history. Wasted… I hope Jeanie enjoys her omakase at Nobu🥂

Wasted… I hope Jeanie enjoys her omakase at Nobu🥂 🤣 Definitely, can't waste these types of overall healthy seasons from this duo. Unacceptable. There have been some injuries (Vando mostly is the main one, like an Achilles heel of this roster construction) but it isn't the main issue of why we're fighting for play-in positioning. A better coach IMO would still have had this team (with same injuries) prepared better to win more games and have them middle of the pack and out of any play-in scenarios. They've won some great games this season but there have also been some that they just looked utterly unprepared in mixed with some awful coaching decisions and this 100% has costed them a handful of games which makes all the difference in the standings. As far as this CBS report goes, I'm not necessarily saying the guy is completely making up shit out of thin air. I just don't trust it as the gospel truth. We'll have to see. Latest words out of Hams mouth before this last game was that they were both progressing according to plan and that they look forward to getting them both back. Also mentioned Reddish was very close. AD also slipped up and said he was looking forward to getting them back soon. Vando has been posting workout clips and hinting at his return soon. Dwight Howard is still begging to come back to Lakers for a playoff run but Lakers would have to waive Christian Wood and have about 3mil of dead money on the books next season because of it. Not sure Lakers want to do that for Dwight. Gonna have to roll with who they have.
