Lakers scored the most points since peak Magic Johnson’s Showtime era team in 1987. 150 points!
The defense was spotty all game per usual but the offense kicked into gear mid way thru the 2nd quarter. Spencer Dinwiddie filling in for DLo had his best game as a Laker and more importantly showed that when he can be the primary ball handling initiator he thrives. Bonehead Ham will continue to play him alongside DLo, I’m positive and while that can work in short spurts it shouldn’t be the primary rotation it’s been since Spencer arrived.
As I’ve been watching hoops all season a new offense of the future has become clear to me; an offense with no primary ball handler / play maker and rather 5 players who all are not only capable but instructed to be the initiator as soon as they touch the ball.

Just need Vando back and they can be a more balanced team that can go on big runs with defensive lockdown spurts.

But with the players we have we proved that it could not only be better but elite. I want Vando back too but I have my doubts he’s going to 100% healthy and durable. I’d have preferred to get him back this week in order give him enough time to catch up the speed of the game and resync with lineups. 10 games would have been ideal. 5 is pushing it and any less will be futile imo.

Last I saw they were ranked around 15th during this stretch in defensive FG%. Probably would be a bit higher if Sac and GS didn't get anything and everything they wanted against us in those games. Granted AD was out for half that GS game so GS got whatever they wanted but Sac just beat the brakes off us.
