What the heck is going on with the Lakers???
I haven't been able to watch the majority of the games, but we are racking up losses fast.
We're down by 20 points to Houston at halftime.

This team looked good on paper and had potential, but they have not looked good at all. Everyone seems to be regressing.
I hate to blame coaches when the team looks bad and are injured, but clearly Ham's schemes are not working.
A good coach will make a decent team competitive, and this ain't it.

This is exactly the kind of start I wanted to avoid this season.
We finally have a competitive roster, guys with the exception of a few are familiar with each other, and we still continue to suck out the gate. Something has to give and if what Ham is doing isn't working then somebody needs to get in his ear to tell him he needs to stop what he is doing.
To be down by over 30 points to Houston with or without AD is simply unacceptable!

hopefully this is the most embarrassing loss of the season. The only good thing I have to say about that game is Rui. he was going hard down by 30. No one else looked like they wanted to be there. This was one of the worst defensive performances I've ever seen in addition to the no semblance of a Ham offensive system

It’s easy to see how reliant the Lakers (and Ham) are on Anthony Davis to play respectable defense. Take him out and the whole thing falls apart.
They had no idea how to cover each other and attack defensively.
On the flipside the offense is STILL among the worst offenses in the league.
Injuries are hurting us no doubt but Ham is failing us without a doubt. I agree with chief, Udoka looking solid in Houston and we missed him by just a few months.

If AD is our entire hope on defense (he absolutely is) and our offense is often highly questionable then what good is Ham providing? I know it's still early but tick tock MF!

We suck without AD (that has been mentioned already itt).
We also suck on the road. Seems like the support crew is much better at home.

I think this team is loaded with talent, but the problem is the coach. This team absolutely runs nothing on offense other than ISOs and occasional pick 'n rolls and has no identity offensively. Darvin is a ra ra man, and what we need is a tactician like Nick Nurse. We fucked up. This is Luke Walton 2.0.

It is early in the season
We will be better

We mentioned Ham prior to the season and we had major doubts about him It is early in the season We will be better If this was Ham’s first season, then I can see your point in giving him more time. This is his second year and it appears he still has no clue about how to run an offense. And the defense has also stunk too—something that should be his strength. Injuries are one thing, but repeated patterns of not seeing what doesn’t work is another. Again, this coach reminds me of Mike Brown when he coached the Lakers. We have to move in from Ham. It’s not going to happen this season though. But I’m saying it right now ya’ll—Ham is the biggest problem for this team. It’s not the roster, it’s the coach.

I think they will do fine when the big two are healthy. Also they will probably be OK at home with just one of them.
I think it will be those road games when one or both are out, that things will get ugly like we saw earlier this week.

But we still have to rely on old reliable Lebron to win games…..smh.
AD has still not taken the mantle and at this point I don’t think he ever will. He’ll still perform above average but if that passing of the torch was going to happen, it would have happened by now.
Lebron is out tonight, and while we SHOULD still win this game, I won’t be surprised if we have to gut it out without him.

Lebron is out tonight, and while we SHOULD still win this game, I won’t be surprised if we have to gut it out without him. Davis is definitely not a championship level top dog. He’s close, but not it. Defensively he’s elite and helps on that end towards end goals but his offense is a roller coaster ride. There were games last year where he went for 40 or 50 but he doesn’t have the ability to maintain an offensive rhythm. I say it still has to do with a lack of comfort with the ball in his hands. He’s going hard on the attack but is ALWAYS off balance when he goes hard. It’s like as if he’s attacking with the expectation of getting some kind of contact but loads up so much of his weight to absorb the contact that he doesn’t have control over his follow through. He’s still always falling to the floor whether a big or small is defending. There is no fixing this because he doesn’t see a problem, it is who he is. The part that bothers me about it all is that Jokic owns him now and he knows it and the only way to beat that team is for AD to go toe to toe with Nikola. You don’t have to own him, you just have to compete stride for stride. AD appears to be more like David Robinson when he faced Hakeem when he faces Joker. That is a bad sign for us.
