Wtf are you crying about though hack?
He IS being punished. He’s been banned indefinitely. Is that NOT a punishment? You sound more like a sadist who wants to pull the lever on the electroshock therapy device.

I think the indefinite suspension is like the chickens coming home to roost. His past incidents all being taken into account with this punishment. I don't think it will be more than 15 games but I could be wrong there.
I respect his competitiveness, tenacity and grit but I have the furthest thing from respect for some of his actions on the court - specifically poking dudes in the eye multiple times with clear intent and/or with complete recklessness and no remorse which may as well be on purpose.
Play tough, be tenacious, compete hard, but don't cross the red lines by attacking dudes eyes and babymakers. This little reckless halfass slap/wrist shot upside Nurks noggin doesn't piss me off nearly as much as those other actions tbh but guess the league felt more strongly about that and the potential consequences of letting him off with a slap on the wrist.

But would it be if the exact play happens and he swung and hits Nurkic’s arm that was holding him by the hip instead of his face? Is it still dirty and violating the integrity of the sport if that were what happened? I ask because he turned and spun quickly while swinging, not facing up and throwing a hit at the head. I also ask because I posted a story FROM 5 YEARS AGO how Nurkic leads all players in getting flagrantly hit in the face more than any other player in over 2 decades. He must be winning that race by a wide mile now. It’s not that it justifies Draymond’s recklessness but I do think intentions matter to an extent. Yes it would be 2b, because the swing in and of itself was UNNECESSARY. The only difference is that it would probably be treated differently because getting hit on the arm like that would not have the same effect as somebody getting hit in the face with that kind of reckless force. So do you think Nurk is purposely trying to get hit in the face to justify the use of the article? I know guys flop all the time, but I don't think guys purposely try to get their face smashed by other players. That doesn't make sense. Nurk certainly didn't put his face in the middle of Dray's swing in a matter of .002 seconds either.

But there is no disagreement whether it was unnecessary. Unnecessary contact occurs every game.
Draymond doesn’t get a special pass to commit unnecessary contact. He mostly gets called for it moreso than other players. John Stockton made a career out of cheap shots. So did Rick Mahorn and Bill Laimbeer. Bruce Bowen did too. Players today say something similar about Domantas Sabonis. It’s sly cheating in a way but mostly condoned from players who can hide it better. Draymond doesn’t hide it so much, particularly when the agitation rises.
Like I said before, he got the proper treatment in the game; he was kicked out and then the NBA felt he needs to be dealt with more severely because of his history of flagrant fouls. In the moment of the game it wasn’t that obvious to me nor Stan Van Gundy that not only did he commit a flagrant 2, but he’d be suspended for double digit games and there would be calls for his banning from the game altogether and even public stoning by fans for smacking Jusuf in the head.
I didn’t expect that. I saw a guy lose his cool and make a dumb play. It was reckless but nobody got hurt. Had it busted open Nurk’s skull with blood all over, ok, ban him 10 games or whatever. Even if the NBA is penalizing based on history, the punishment should match the event imo. Like I said earlier in the thread what Jokic did to Markieff Morris was 10x worse. He could paralyzed the man. But that was ok because it was Nikola, not even a single game ban. Please. The hypocrisy is outrageous at times.

I understand your point about other guys giving cheap shots over the years, but none of them seemed to do it so blatantly and dangerously as Dray does. Probably the only exception to that would be the Detroit Piston Bad Boys, but that was a different time when stuff like that was more acceptable.

Nurk is a bitch. I watched the game, really good game. Dray didn’t do anything out of line, had one outburst that could have been a tech but it was not because he hit anyone. I guess Nurkic supposed that his act job from 2 months ago meant Draymond was supposed to allow him to run through him. Dray played physical as he absolutely has to in order for GS to win. And they won… with Dray playing KD very physical on the final play to deny a shot to win the game. Hilarious to see both Nurk and Dray do the too small gesture on each other though.

Nurk was over acting at times. Yeah floor pound was funny
