The indefinite suspension was basically double jeopardy because they fucked the original 2 game one up.

He'll get signed eventually but I doubt this season. Too big a PR hit. He needs to show some public contrition to make it palatable for a team to sign him.

Not sure what else people want from him... Public apology? Tar and feathering? Just let the guy play already.

People want an actual apology rather than the blame the victim game he and his wife went through over the spring. The Ravens didnt even delete their "Mrs. Rice apologizes for the role she played" (in her own beating) tweet until a month or so ago. People need their pound of flesh.

The talk is Denver is licking their chops and circling as soon as he is available

turning 28 in 3 months. He might only have a year or 2 after this one. He needs to play soon

The talk is Denver is licking their chops and circling as soon as he is available Not sure why though; Ronnie Hillman has looked good and Ray Rice was already on the decline before this debacle. Plus, Montee Ball should be back in a few weeks.

Plus, Knowshon came out of nowhere last year and took the job.

Not sure if a more sincere apology would solve the problem right now though... Just seems like some people are out for blood. It's all part of the process whenever anyone in the public eye gets in to trouble. Public apology (whether they mean it or not), then sit down with respected sports reporter/Ellen/Oprah/60 minutes for a 1 on 1 interview, show montages of that person "giving back to the community" by volunteering (for an hour or two) or giving money to a charity related to their transgression. Then Twitter leak the news of "so and so drawing interest from Team X, Y" to gauge the fan/media reaction, then press conference with signing team talking about "new phase" "everyone deserves a second chance" "happy to start my career again as a Bronco/Panther/Dolphin/Bill" It's all a bit formulaic now.

You should become a PR agent / Damage control specialist.. You've got the process down to a T. Rice definitely skipped a few steps.

I would love to see him on the Patriots. So long as he doesn't kill her he's good

No need for him with the Bills; they already have Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon until Fred Jackson returns in a few weeks.

I had a sweet response written but Bryce Brown fumbled it Was waiting for Ray Rice to come to Buffalo, but at 3.1 yards/carry, he won't get here until 2016. BTW, 3 fumbles lost in 2012, none in 2013.

I don't even like Rice that much, but let's dig a bit deeper here on he and Brown.
3.1 YPC in the worst of his career while injured- never below 4.0 otherwise. Let't not pretend he's forever a 3.1 guy.
We are giving Brown credit for 0 fumbles on 75 carries? No thanks 4 fumbles on 115 carries in 2012. That's terribad. For comparison, Rice has 9 on 1800 career touches.
I'm not shouting from the rooftops that Buf needs to sign Rice. I'm of the persuasion to avoid paying anything for RB anyway- the most fungible position in the league, maybe next to LBs. But not all NFL teams think this way, and Boobie Dixon is not a RB.

Fred Jackson is only expected to be out a few weeks. Most likely, Rice's issue won't even be decided upon before he returns. Rice is almost 28 and has a lot of wear and tear. Plus, the Bills don't need any more distraction players; they traded away Lynch for less distraction than Rice would bring. Bills traded for Bryce as potential Spiller insurance next season, so he is in their plans.
