Jamal Khashoggi said people should be allowed to express an opinion and neither side should be silenced.
So, if Trump does not agree with this, why is he so angry at getting banned by Twitter?
Twitter sucks anyway. Social media is pathetic. I've been banned before but so what. Lakersground won't return my call. Boohoo! IDGAF
#CryBabyTrump #CopKillerTrump
Haha! Suck it Trump fans!

lakerfan1980, please don't conflate the Proud Boys and white supremacists to Antifa and BLM. That's what I mean about people not knowing the fundamental difference between these groups and their intentions. There are criminals in all of those groups and you know it! Not in BLM. There may have been parallel rioting, but it was not by that organization. That was opportunism by the oppressed and down-trodden. Any of them that were caught WERE dealt with accordingly; it's not like looters had the doors held open for them by security guards and allowed to leave without incident.

Moreover the protests over the summer were organic manifestations in response to government treatment. BLM did NOT organize masses of people to storm the streets. Their movement existed before and simply became the slogan because of timing and right wing media framing. Some organizing took place in the proceeding weeks by those who wanted to take part but NONE OF THAT WAS COMMITTED BY A UNITED STATES POLITICAL PARTY. When you conflate this situation to that of the President of the United States running a misinformation campaign (THE BIG LIE) for months straight, stirring a mob into a psychopathic delusional frenzy to the point of sieging the government building to force the overturning of an election it’s not even close to the same fucking thing. The biggest problem I see is this constant placating to these mother fucker’s blatant lies

Instead, now we have Trump basically calling for more violence, this time against Biden, if he is impeached and removed from office. Trump is starting to lose business deals over last week. NYC has terminated contracts with him to operate two rinks and a carousel in Central Park and a golf course in the Bronx, costing him about $17M per year.

Yes I saw Trump’s threatening comments to Biden although he is very careful with his words when he stokes the flame. Very Charles Manson like, just like I compared him to years ago. The best thing I read in recent days was about the civil liability he will face over the attack on the Capitol. His own lawyers told him “think OJ” in regard to the asset draining tactics that legal teams would put on him.

Dangerous time we live in. A bunch of the rioters were ex-military including special forces. Some were carrying plastic ties, or were dressed in full combat gear. Since the Capitol did not have metal detectors at that time, who knows what they were trying to bring in.
One of those bat-sh*t crazy Congressmen from CO, that newly elected lady who comes packing all the time, actually posted Pelosi's location to the rioters. What was her intent? Now she's going ape-sh*t about the metal detectors.
We can't normalize this behavior. That us what Fox is trying to do, normalize the crazy QAnon crap through the lens of a so called legitimate Fox outlet.
It's long past due to expose Fox in a way that discredits them completely as a QAnon, incel propaganda outlet.

After what happened last week at the Capital Building and all the death and destruction nationwide last summer, people need to take a deep breath and calm down. Politicians need to calm down the rhetoric. Fox, CNN and MSNBC need to stop the partisan politics. It needs to stop now!

This media operates EXACTLY according to right wing free market doctrine: SELL SELL SELL. Salacious, sensationalistic material sells to audiences which is the primacy of media. The more you attention you can draw the more ads you sell = the goal of all media. Don’t like what it produces? Then you don’t actually like right wing free market ideology in practice. Only in theory.

That’s a better position in theory but it’s still one that prioritizes profit above all else. Fox News is center right with some content more far right. The content they produce is what has brought us where we are today. CNN is center left on the US political spectrum but it adheres to the same market principles as center right. In short, everyone is complaining about the current setup of news media but no one is doing anything about it. The 2 competing sides will continue to out-sensationalize the other because, again, that sells.

I don’t recall anyone on MSNBC advocating for the violent overthrow of the government, threatening physical harm and death on elected officials (see the Parler excerpts Amazon provided to the court defending their actions in cutting off Parler), and then defending these people by giving voices to idiots and wild men like the MyPillow asshole, that skank Pirro, and others like them. MSNBC is no the same. Not close. Should not be close to the same conversation.

What is MSNBC? I believe they are far left.

MSNBC is not at all far left, although they are more blatant in their support of the Democratic Party for sure. They are Centrists just like CNN. I mentioned CNN as “Center left here in the US” as a distinction that they are not at all leftists but moderate centrists. In Europe the Dems would be considered a far right Party.
But the Democrats aren’t far left by any means. Far left would a Communist Party which they are absolutely not.
If they were Socialists they’d be left but not quite far left and definitely not center left.
If they were Democratic Socialists like virtually all of European nations they’d be in between centrists and leftists. But that position gets painted as “far left” by right wing media and centrist media here in the US, ie Bernie Sanders.

What is lost in all of this since due to the insurrection by the Trumpanzees last Wednesday at the Capitol building was the election of 2 Democratic Senators in Georgia last Tuesday.
I wasn't confident that the Dems would be able to flip BOTH seats in Georgia but they did and that's important because it makes Biden's job easier to get legislation passed and to appoint people who he feels will help more Americans. Dems control both the House and the Senate now with Kamala's vote (if necessary). Keep an eye on Georgia, because Republicans in that state are going to try more than ever to suppress the votes of minorities there.

This will be the difference between an actual functional Fed vs the anti democratic anti parliamentary politics Republican obstructionists. They absolutely still obstruct in every way they can. That primary way will be to manufacture political theater to their voters through media. It will look to conflate, distort and flat out lie. Joe Biden is a Republican by every measure of 20th century history. His policies align that way all across the board. He is for all intents and purposes a hallmark moderate but US political standards. But that’s not how he will be painted. It will be “socialist this” and “radical far left that” because Americans are completely ignorant as to what 90% of the terminology used in polit-o-talk. The sooner we all get familiar with the terminology, what things truly mean based on reality and practice, not rhetoric, the sooner we can fix everything.

The funny thing about the Georgia elections is that they were actually enabled by racism. Much of the reasoning behind their run-off elections is to keep a winner by less than 50% from winning a seat, which not so slyly keeps minority candidates from those seats. The biggest reason however was of course Trump; he definitely hurt the Repub chances for re-election.
