On a separate note, I pity the person that has to clean up Trump's mess in 4 years. He continues to appoint people that either have no experience in their upcoming role, or are the very antithesis of who should helm that department. I guess he's emptying the swamp right into his cabinet. ____________________ Well, we all know that Trump didn't get where he is alone. I think he's known for hiring smart people to do the work for him. And everybody thought, or thinks, he's going to do the same thing as the President. But looks like he's hiring all the wrong people, at least in our eyes. Anybody who thought Trump was going to hire "the best people" are smashed on his Kool-Aid. I know I didn't expect "the best people'. Although, I didn't expect this. I expected some balance from a republican president-elect that in the past has been a democrat. I wasn't expecting but was hoping to have someone that could take the best options irrespective of party lines. I couldn't be more disappointed. He's seemingly appointing the same person for most posts. They all seem to look alike (like Pence), they all seem to be from the same part of the country and they seem to all be reactionary conservatives. So instead of balance, we're going to go the complete opposite of the surrendering administration. I wouldn't consider myself a fanoObama. But this is just silly.

Trump's cabinet makes more annually than the bottom 33% of the country en masse. Glad all those "outsider" votes for Trump are handing the country to the 1%.

Get rid of the swamp? He just created the Everglades North. With a built in lack of accountability. Conned by a con man, Trump voters sure don't have a lot to say about actual cabinet appointments or actual policy. Crickets...

It's like when W put that incompetent boob in charge of FEMA. Put in incompetent wack jobs and fools, and they'll destroy these institutions through sheer idiocy.
We really are in a desperate situation, and it just feels like we have to be in survival mode for at least 4 years.

Brownie was a boob, but he hadn't been battling against FEMA for years. A lot of these Trump appointees have histories of fighting against the very departments they are now in charge of. He's setting up a lot of these appointees to dismantle their departments.

To say people can't survive during college on min wage is folly. I know many that have. They just chose to live extremely lean and make it work. I ate a lot of top ramen when I was younger. My family did not contribute to my education Colleges aren't the same cost as when we were younger though; costs have shot up. Current federal minimum wage is $7.25/hour, $1160 a month gross. If you forgo health insurance, taxes and social security will take 25% of that, bringing you to $870. Here in Rochester, that barely gets you a one bedroom apartment. In LA you won't get an efficiency studio in a horrible neighborhood for 870

Now the clown wants to put a 20% tariff on all imported goods from Mexico.
It went from, "Mexico is going to pay for that wall!" to Americans paying for it when Mexico told Trump to go screw himself.
A tariff of that magnitude will not help the economy, it can only hurt it. Obviously isn't well read on Economics 101, but not surprising to me.
Wants to keep pushing that stupid narrative that "millions" voted illegally too.....reeks totalitarian talk. And this is just 6 days into his term......
Boy the next 4 years is going to be painful to watch.

Idiocracy is slowly becoming a documentary.

As if I needed another reason to hate anything SF Gnats related. Aubrey Huff has to spew his hatred around as if were just an "opinion." What an asshat.
I his bro Jeremy Affeldt ain't much better.
Must be good collecting mad money for being stupid and mediocre. Where can I get that gig?
