First time I EVER put a smile on my face by any actions from players from a Boston/New England team.

But I doubt that happens, they'll put all that aside when season starts next year.

Did anyone see Trump's press conference today? That was freaking crazy and scary. The man is completely unhinged. He's simply grandstanding. Take the information, deflect, attack, deflect, attack, repeat. You guys here are long time internet savvy people, it's trolling 101. The media can't handle it because they've never been openly trolled. They all look around at each other like "is he serious?" "what does it mean when he says X." etc. Amazing to me how so many cant see thru it. Simultaneously he's placating to his base, all of whom wait for their Masta to feed them information just the way they like it.

No doubt what he is saying placates his base, but trolling by some internet dudes is different than the Leader of the Free World.
What he's learning is that the trolling leads to scrutiny of the type that has consequences. There is no anonymity. Quite the opposite.

What he's learning is that the trolling leads to scrutiny of the type that has consequences. There is no anonymity. Quite the opposite. Disagree. Anonymity has nothing to with behavior besides a real name attached. Leads to scrutiny? From whom? Where? I saw him bulldoze through a room full of reporters, manipulate information in an incoherent manner and the people in the room let him. A few called him out but more so for the sake of sound bites I'm sure. In the end you had the President stand up and blame the people in front of him (media) for the treatment of his advisor Flynn. Think about what this will look like years from now, say 20-30 years. Someone who did not watch today's press conference or someone who is not privy to current details of information, can pick up pieces of this press conference and walk away with: - media lies - media makes up fake stories - media treats his people unfairly - took no responsibility for anything Meanwhile 17 intelligence agencies of the government have verifiable information on this connection to Russia but the House panel in charge of investigation is partisan (Republican controlled) and won't investigate this possibly treasonous act. This same panel conducted 33 hearings over 2 years and chairman Chaffetz (Utah) claimed before the election that he had at least 2 more years worth of material to investigate Clinton while President. Alas she lost and they closed the case days later. In other words, THIS is what is fake. THIS is why and how democracy fails. So when Trump calls for a press conference like this and stands up and trolls people, I still have yet to see any repercussion for this behavior. It is akin to when a large personality enters a social space and manipulates all who allow him/ her to.

It will happen, but as you say, this is totally new ground for the press.
He has declared war on them and the courts for that matter, and they will push back.
Yes, with conservative control and their blatant hypocrisy will rule the day. But 2018 is around the corner. That is real and a 39% approval rating in the 1st month of his administration is not something congressmen and senators like to attach their names to.
It's a travesty, but sometimes you get the government you deserve, and for those who thought Trump was a good idea, this is what you get.
BTW, you (not you 2B...meaning Trumps people) supporters are in the minority and the margins in those states Trump won to everyone's surprise were thin.

But let's just entertain for a minute that this Russian connection is real and insidious. It has already been uncovered that Trumps Secretary of State Tillerson had a deal in place with Putin for a new oil partnership when he was ExxonMobil CEO. Obama sanctions blocked this deal and Trump sent a wink wink Tweet dated Dec 30 2016 praising Putin for not reacting to Obamas sanctions. Once these sanctions are removed and the deal bigs made Putin stands to gain enormously. Does this lead to further invasion of Ukraine? Does this lead to a standoff with NATO? Does this lead to WW3? In consideration of those IMO distinct possibilities I will not and cannot willfully sit back and say "well 2018 is coming up in 2 years maybe more people will see thru misinformation by then."

His tax returns are a timebomb.
There are already rumors of money laundering through Deutchbank for the oil deal in the Ukraine you mentioned.
This is why he's starting a witch hunt against all whistleblowers. He's appointed some goon to review the intelligence community.
I'll bet my money on the spooks.

Well at least we the tax payers wont have to pay a bunch of cheaters to eat dinner. I hated both presidential candidates so I really do not care what Trump does. He is doing the same bullshit every other president has done, but just more blatantly and lacking tact. What is really disappointing is the response from the Left. I consider myself to be Liberal, but the left is just embarrassing since the fall of Hillary. Actors and young entitled morons are spouting some of the dumbest shit I have ever heard. If you want to bring down Trump you better have some people that do not tell tales told by an idiot that are full of sound and fury which signify nothing. Honestly people just need to move on and get him out in 4 years. GW has proved that no matter how corrupt and idiotic you are the sun will still come up in the morning.

I agree, things look really grim, and the Dems are in disarray. But there are groups out there fighting the good fight.
The problem is there is facet of government, from state and local, to national that is not controlled by an extremely virulent form of conservatism that will stop at nothing to put party above country.
I too blame the left is slowly letting that happen. As Dems were losing governorships, state legislatures, the House and then the Senate, it seemed the left was just fiddling while Rome was burning. They started to believe their own propaganda, when the only thing holding it together was a good man in Obama.
Of course, liberals were their own worst enemy fighting over Hillary's bonafides while endorsing losers like Jill Stein (next time I see or hear Susan Sarandon, I'm gonna punch somebody). How did that work out? Didn't you learn your lesson from Ralph Nader?
BTW, Jill Stein was at that same table with Putin and General Flynn for the RT celebration...take that for conspiracy theories.
BUT, there is no choice but the climb this gigantic mountain in front of the country. It is not going to get easier. We need to stop tearing each other apart and realize there is a common enemy, and democracy is at stake.

Honestly people just need to move on and get him out in 4 years. GW has proved that no matter how corrupt and idiotic you are the sun will still come up in the morning. Neither were ideal candidates, but it was still a clear choice for me. No way could I ever bring myself to vote for a man who started all that nativist unsubstantiated racist birther crap against Obama in 2011 and continued ito believe it without an apology after it was proven he was born in Hawaii. I mean I can write pages of reasons why I would vote for Hillary over Donald, but he's not worth the time to do it. It's one thing to hold views and policies that are in opposition to your political opponent, but it's another to TRASH the Office of the President while running and leaving a carcass behind you. I mean Bush II was a polarizing president too but Donald makes him look like small fish. Because whether you liked Bush or not, he never ran his campaign on straight up misinformation and trashing or disrespecting people of color and women. I mean by your standard you might as well not vote in any presidential election because there's always going to be some level of dirt on a politician who has been in Washington for any significant amount of time. That's just how it is. But no, people would rather vote for an entertainer and "outsider" with zero political experience and who thinks he knows how to conduct a war because he knows more than the generals and because he's a businessman who said he's going to make "America great again by building that wall!". Common sense be damned. That said, I do think the Democratic Party has work to do. They need fresh leadership and need to start addressing economic issues that have plagued their constituents for years but have gone ignored. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania prove that. Not just at the federal level but on a state level too. Not much they can do now except that and slow as much damage as possible Trump and his administration can do. Hollywood will be Hollywood, nothing is going to change that.
